Method & sources

Where every claim on this site comes from.

Compliance products live and die on freshness. This page is our public commitment to it.

Primary sources

All RegShelf content is derived from: Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 in its consolidated version as amended by the Digital Omnibus (June 2026); the Commission Guidelines on prohibited practices and on the AI‑system definition (February 2025); the GPAI Guidelines (July 2025); the Article 50 Guidelines and the Code of Practice on marking AI‑generated content (July 2026); and the Commission's official implementation timeline via the AI Act Service Desk. Where harmonised standards are still in draft at CEN‑CENELEC, we say so rather than pretending certainty.

Update policy

When the Commission publishes guidance that affects any document, we revise it, note the change below, and send the updated files to every buyer within their update window. Undated compliance advice is how companies end up preparing for deadlines that no longer exist.

Changelog

25 Aug 2026

Initial release. All content aligned to the Digital Omnibus: high‑risk deadlines corrected to 2 Dec 2027 / 2 Aug 2028, Art. 50 set updated to the final Guidelines and marking Code of Practice, new Art. 5 prohibition (synthetic CSAM/NCII) included in the screening checklist.

Independence

RegShelf is not affiliated with any EU institution, law firm, or GRC vendor. We sell documents, not audits — which means we have no incentive to make your compliance sound harder than it is.
